We started in film.
We learned something hard.

A few years ago we founded Playtives to let everyday people co-own and earn from African film projects. The idea was right. The execution revealed a painful truth: returns in creative industries are unpredictable, and people who trust you with their money deserve better than "wait and see."

When our first film investments took longer than expected, our founder did something most don't: he personally refunded every investor — principal plus interest — out of his own pocket. Not because he had to. Because integrity doesn't have a legal minimum.
